Welcome to the world of tea.

Oolong Tea (Blue Teas)

Oolong Tea (Blue Teas) Oolong teas (also known as Blue Teas) are not fully fermented, they lie between the full oxidation of black and the minimal oxidation of green teas. They often have large beautiful leaves suitable for multiple infusions. They come mainly from China and Taiwan. Oolongs from Taiwan often have the prefix Formosa, meaning beautiful island - the name the Dutch explorers gave to Taiwan. Oolong means black dragon in Chinese - sometimes spelled Wu Long.
